Sirius/Aeons Of Magick/Nocturnal Art Productions/2000 CD Review

Sirius where a band from Portugal that played a very atmospheric and orchestra form of occult dark/black metal and this is a review of their 2000 album "Aeons Of Magick" which was released by Nocturnal Art Productions.

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown into the music at times, while the orchestra and keyboards bring a very atmospheric and classical music feeling to the music, as for the bass playing it has a very strong and powerful tone with riffs that dominate throughout the recording.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast dark/black metal riffs that are very melodic sounding at times with alot of skill and talent being utilized while the lead guitars are very distorted and melodic sounding metal guitar solos and leads.

Vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams mixed in with some spoken word parts, deep death metal growls and clean singing vocals, while the lyrics cover Astronomy, Cosmic Mysticism and Occultism, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful and professional sound to it and you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.

In my opinion Sirius where a very great sounding atmospheric, orchestra orientated dark/black metal and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Sidereal Mirror" "Ethereal Flames Of Chaos" and "Aeons Of Magick". RECOMMENDED BUY.
