Goat Regime/Demo 2008/Evergrim Recordings Review

Goat  Regime  are  a  1  man  band  from  Olympia, Washington  that  plays  a  very  raw  and  primitive  form  of  old  school  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2008  demo  which  was  released  by  Evergrim  Recordings.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats  being  utilized  at  times,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  are  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  old  school  black  metal  riffs  that  are  very  raw and  primitive  sounding  in  the  90's  second  wave  tradition  and  there  are  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on  this  recording.

Vocals  are  all  grim  sounding  black  metal  screams,  while  the  lyrics  cover  dark  and  hateful  themes, as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound  in  the  old  school  tradition  of  the  early  90's.

In  my  opinion  Goat  Regime  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw  and  primitive  old  school  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Hail  The  Horns  Of  Hatred"  and  "Of  Piss  And  Dirt".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
