Oaks Of Bethel/A Silent Inquisition/EEE Recordings/2012 EP Review

This  is  a  review  of  another  recording  from  Oaks  Of  Bethel  which  continues  their  hybrid  sound  of raw  and  primitive  black  metal,  drone  and  psychedelic  with  the  ep  being  released  in  2013 by  EEE  Recordings  and  Called  "A  Silent Inquisition".

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats  being  utilized   at  times,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  are  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  raw  and  primitive  sounding  ambient  black  metal  with  drone  and  psychedelic  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own  as  well  as  some  melody  being  thrown  into  the  riffing  along  with  a  brief  use  of  clean  playing  and  there  are  little  to  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on  this  recording.

Vocals  and  song  writing  are  all  absent  from  the  recording  with  the  music  being  all  instrumental,  while  the  song  themes  cover  nature,  culture  and  ancestry,  as  for   the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sounding  with  the  song  being  long  and  epic  in  length.

In  my  opinion  this  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Oaks  Of  Bethel  and  if  you  are a  fan  of  primitive  black  metal  mixed  with  drone,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
